Lake-Geauga Fund

The Lake-Geauga Fund of the Cleveland Foundation provides grants to nonprofit organizations in Lake and Geauga counties. Established in 1987, the fund’s grantmaking is directed by an advisory committee of community leaders living in one of those counties.

Grantmaking

Since its inception, the fund has allocated grants to the following areas:

  • Human services 32%
  • Health 19%
  • Environment 16%
  • Education 15%
  • Economic development/civic affairs 10%
  • Arts and culture 6%

Expanding in two counties

The Cleveland Foundation is working to increase its leadership role in Lake and Geauga counties by expanding its programs and services in those areas. The members of the Lake-Geauga Advisory Committee are J. Terrell Dillard, Catherine C. Haworth, Bert Holt, John D. Leech, Raphael J. Omerza, Esq., Nancy W. Patterson, and Todd R. Ray.
